About us

Soubhagya Nirmalam Foundation was started by ten like- minded ladies as a Foundation on 8th March 2009 in New Delhi with the sole motto of providing service to the underprivileged segments of the Society. The Foundation also strives to develop culture and the everlasting good values (Sanatana Dharma) among the current generation.

The Foundation was founded in memory of the parents of the founders, Late Sri Ajjarapu Venkata Rao and his wife Late Smt Soubhagya Sundaram, who were themselves actively involved in serving the tribals in Khammam district of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, now in Telangana. Late Sri A. Venkata Rao was a Philanthropist, Educationist and Author of many spiritual works. His spiritual guru, Shri Balananda Swami of Perantalapalli used to call him ‘Nirmalam’ meaning the pure hearted. Late Smt. Soubhagaya Sundaram was a very pious lady with Philanthropic outlook. They supported many poor children with food and education.

Taking their Philanthropic legacy forward, this time in a much more structured and systematic manner; their daughters – led by CA.P.Santha Devi founded the Soubhagya Nirmalam Foundation.

What we do

The basic objective of the Foundation is to reach out to the poor and needy people irrespective of the status, caste, creed or religion. The Foundation has identified four core areas which need interventions.

The Foundation has intervened on numerous occasions, though on a small scale, to the reach out to the needy people in these core sectors. Currently the Foundation is engaged in the projects of running a health facility, educational assistance for poor and needy students and tribal welfare. Now the Foundation is also involved in running a Health clinic in Munirka, New Delhi and a Health & Nutrition project in Rudrapur. Apart from providing assistance / services in the core sectors, the Foundation is currently involved in the publication of books authored by Sri Nirmalam.
